In this Chapter Bhagavan Sri Krishna Talks about his glories (Vibhuti). Hence this chapter is called Vibhuti yoga.
Bhagavan Sri Krishna talks about his Vibhuti to Arjuna because he loves Arjuna very much for his straight forward nature. Bhagavan did not reveal his original nature even to great Rishis and sages but revealed it to Arjuna for his pure nature. Bhagavan says that he who know my real nature is relieved from all sins and he is undeluded among the mortals. The positive nature like forgiveness, happiness, wisdom sprout out from Me. The seven great sages, the famous four Sanat kumaras and many holy men were born from Me directly (mind born). From them all these creatures were born in this world. One who know the manifestation secret knows about me and he is in perfect yoga.
Bhagavan says that, I am the source of all and everything evolved from Me. They should always worship me and meditate on me with this idea in mind and they will be free from all delusions. I reside in them and I remove their ignorance.
Hearing this Arjuna says, you are praised by all the Rishis, Devas and Vedas as Para Brahman. Only you know more about yourself. Now, Arjuna request Bhagavan to talk about His divine glories.
