GITA AT A GLANCE – CHAPTER–12
After seeing the Viswaroopa of Bhagavan, Arjuna had a new doubt. He requests Bhagavan to tell him that which is the best yoga – is it worshipping you Krishna (saguna upasana) or worshipping the unmanifest (nirguna upasana).
Bhagavan says that one cannot directly enter into Nirguna upasana -that is worshipping the unmanifest. Till one reaches that state, one has to do Saguna Upasana. It will purify the mind. But definitely, one has to worship the unmanifest and the unperishable.
Even if a Person worship any form, actually he is worshipping me through that form. When he concentrates on a form then their mind is easily controlled. If he begin with the worship of the unmanifest then it is very hard to control the mind and the senses. Instead, it he worships Me with the single pointed devotion, renouncing all actions in Me and Me as his supreme goal then he will cross over the ocean of Samsara easily.
If you fix the mind and intellect on Me then without doubt you are living in Me says Bhagavan Krishna. If you are unable to fix your mind on Me, then practice it and seek to reach Me; if you cannot even do this practice (abhyasa yoga) then do the action for My sake. When you do actions for My sake then your mind will attain perfection. If you cannot perform action for My sake then at least renounce the result of the action. Peace of mind follows renunciation.
Bhagavan Krishna says that mind is very difficult to control, so one has to go step by step.
Bhagavan says that, one who hates no creature, who is friendly and compassionate to all, who is free from attachment, without egoism, balanced in pleasure and in pain, forgiving, ever content even in adverse situations, self-controlled, possessed with firm conviction, with the mind and intellect dedicated to Me, he is My devotee and he is dear to Me.
He by whom the world is not agitated, and who cannot be agitated by the world, who is free from fear, joy, anger and anxiety – he is dear to Me, because he is not disturbed by his own mind.
He who neither rejoices, nor hates, nor grieves, nor desires, renouncing good and evil and full of devotion is dear to Me. He who is the same to foe and friend, and also in honour and dishonour, same in cold and heat and in pleasure and in pain and who is free from any attachment is dear to Me.
One who follows this immortal Dharma as described above and endowed with faith, regarding Me as their supreme goal, that devotee is exceedingly dear to Me.
In this chapter, Bhagavan Krishna very clearly tells that a Person who detaches himself from the worldly chores of life and devote his life towards Him is dear to Him.,abhyasa, hindu, himduism, gita, kirshna,
